1. Wet face with luke warm water and cleanse using The Gentle Wash.

2. Wash the Dermaplaning tool with warm water and sterilise with rubbing alcohol before use.

3. With dry skin, hold the skin taut with the blade at a 45 degree angle and use short strokes in the same direction of hair growth.

4. Wipe blade onto make up wipe to ensure effective dermaplaning.

5. Avoid acne or cuts.

6. Apply Silky Hydrating Serum and sanitise blade after use (Discard blade after 3 uses).

1. Is it suitable for acne-prone skin?

According to Kaye Scott and Lisa Sullivan-Smith (Founders of Australian facial outpost The Clinic, slight nicks can occur (albeit rarely), so they don't recommend dermaplaning for acne prone skin. As with any method of exfoliation, overuse can lead to irritation and avoid if your skin is broken, susceptible to cysts and acne.

2. How often should I use the dermaplaning tool?

Dermaplaning removes the dead skin along with the hair. Dermatologists recommend using the tool once every fortnight to once a month. Too often will irritate the skin.

3. Will my hair grow back thicker?

There's a common myth that dermaplaning will cause your facial hair to grow back thicker. That is not true at all. No your hair will not grow back darker and you will not grow a man beard.

1. Painlessly exfoliates the outer layer of the skin to stimulate cell turnover with no downtime.

2. An alternative for pregnant women who are looking for exfoliation without chemical treatments.

3. Assists makeup to apply and stick more evenly.
